Last Sunday, I had a weird dream. My dreams are usually in the third person, I can usually see myself. The dream I had on Sunday night was a first person dream and was almost something out of a Studio Ghibli cartoon. I wasn't in the dream I was just seeing/watching what was happening.

The dream started in a meadow or valley where there were a lot of people. They were looking at something in the sky, either the stars or some fireworks. The people in my dream went up a mountain to get a closer look. They ended up on a broken bridge and found a woman and a child at the edge watching the stars/fireworks. The woman and the child, were happily joking with each other until the woman saw the child, who suddenly became naked, stand up and jump off the bridge.

Suddenly I was underwater, I was seeing what the child was seeing. The child was trying to look up at the surface. It was so bright and instead of seeing water lilies floating above, I saw Dandelions.

Then I woke up.

I liked the dream... I really tried my best to remember it. I keep on trying to analyze it to come up with an explanation why I dreamt of something like it. Here's all I can think of:

Fireworks: My sister went to Australia for New Year to watch the fireworks, she asked me to watch the videos on YouTube.

Stars: When I was commuting to my boyfriends place, I was looking at the stars and I thought a plane was a really huge twinkling star or it was a really slow ufo (har har).

Broken Bridge: It was probably from the last few scenes from Sherlock Holmes at the end of the movie.

If I could paint, I would paint everything that I saw. The dream was so vivid. My friend asked me "I wonder what your dream meant" so I looked it up on the internet.

Dandelions glowing in a sunlit meadow denotes a happy life for you with your new spouse. To see yourself eating them or drinking dandelion tea is a sign that unless you do something about it, your health will soon suffer.

Dreaming of a specific body of water
such as a lake must be analyzed according to its setting and the entire contents of the dream and much like dreaming of water in general, the clearness of the lake also has to do with the omen or situation it refers to. Clear water being the best. To dream of being in a boat on a calm, serene lake shows that you have much peace and happiness coming your way. If the lake is storm tossed then your life will take a turn for an emotional upheaval and possible losses. Seeing a lake in a glen with sunshine sparkling on the surface portends great good luck in all your endeavors.

To dream that you are jumping, indicates that you need to take a risk and go for it. You will find progress toward your goals. Consider the metaphors "jumping for joy" or "jumping the gun". How you feel in the dream will provide additional significance and meaning to your dream.

To dream that you fail to jump, indicates that you are afraid of the uncertain. You do not like change.

Swimming Dream Meaning

Psychological Meaning: Expanses of water usually symbolises the unconscious. Dreaming of swimming shows how you trust the unconscious and are supported by it. You have confidence and are receptive to its creative power. If you dream of swimming underwater this may indicate that you have accepted and are at one with your unconscious. This union is even more apparent if you dream of being able to breathe underwater.

Mystical Meaning: Swimming strongly in clear water means you will achieve great success in love and business. The opposite applies if you struggle or the water is dirty.

To dream that you are in a valley, symbolizes your need to be sheltered and protected. If you are entering or walking through a valley, then it is analogous to your issues of death and dying. This death may be symbolic as in an end to something in your life. Alternatively, the dream represents life's struggles and hardships before you can achieve some spiritual enlightenment or epiphany.

To see a meadow in your dream, represents openness and security. You are taking time out to appreciate your accomplishments.

To see children in your dream, signify an aspect of yourself and your childlike qualities. You may be retreating back to a childlike state where you are longing for the past and the chance to satisfy repressed desires and unfulfilled hopes. Perhaps there is something that you need to see grow and nurtured. Take some time off and cater to the inner child within. Alternatively, the dream may be highlighting you innocence, purity, simplicity, and carefree attitude.

To see fireworks in your dream, symbolizes enthusiasm, creativity, and talent. It may also indicate that you are showing off and making a spectacle of yourself. Alternatively, it represents release of some pent up or repressed feelings.

To dream that you are crossing a bridge, signifies an important decision or a critical junction in your life. This decision will prove to be a positive change filled with prosperity and wealth in the horizon. Bridges represent a transitional period in your life where you will be moving on to a new stage. If the bridge is over water, then it suggests that your transition will be an emotional one. If you fall off the bridge and into the water, then the dream indicates that you are letting your emotions hold you back and prevent you from moving forward. Alternatively, the bridge may indicate that you are trying to "bridge" or connect two things together.

To dream of a run-down bridge, indicates that you should not contemplate any major changes in your life at this time.

We'll dreams are open to interpretation ^__^ can't really rely on what's written here but... it seems to be all good ^__^
