New Discovery!

Ever since I came across this website: http://www.mysmallobsession.com, I got obsessed looking for things that I can make into molds for my clay hobby~

I still want to buy the reusable resin mold from Japan but I have to make do without buying things online. Once I'm able to pay off my credit card bill for this year, my boyfriend told me I can go crazy with my clay stuff ^^

So for now, I bought a bag of Jelly Ace candies! Hihihi I discovered that I can use the cups as a mold for the base of a pie, or a cake! I tried it last night when I was finally able to buy a bag of candies and took a really bad photo of it with my itouch.. cuz I was in a hurry this morning~!

I promise to upload a better picture
I'll take better pictures once I start making pies!

Sulking... (Work Related Rant)

I'm not proud of it.. but I admit that I am!

There were 2 emails that got me very irritable this morning. First email I saw was an issue raised by a client... of course, I made a mistake that I didn't follow one document word per word but goodness... The issue is answered by another document that was approved and discussed so many times... they approved it! My mistake to think that the document THEY approved was good... GEEZ.. Make up your minds about the requirements!!!

The second email was about my vacation leaves, which was also approved last week.. BUT this morning... they took it all back... or at least 3 days out of 5 days...

It's frustrating... I got all excited about those 3 days and I was planning something with my boyfriend.. but everything went down the drain...

As if I can do something about any issues that would be raised...

At the moment.. I'm just trying to control my mood...

1 year of blogging~! 2009 New Year Resolution Fulfilled~

I can't believe it! It's been a year already?! ^__^ Happy Birthday blog!!!!~ Weeeeee~! >__<

I wish I was creative

I haven't been making any polymer clay stuff for a while, I was really frustrated that the materials I want are either too expensive or not locally available... I'm still frustrated and I still want those mini cookie cutters, flexible molds, and resin, but right now I still have to save up for it and cut my expenses... T_T

Anyway, I came across this a really great blog that was like a breath of fresh air to me.

Quick Post: Dressing up~

I love dresses but I'm too shy to wear dresses... I don't like the stares I get... I really don't like the attention. Anyway, last Saturday I went to my office's Christmas party. The theme was a "Beach Party/Luau" in December Despite how out of place the theme was I wore a dress, with the encouragement of a relative and my beloved boyfriend.

I was glad I decided to wear my long pink summer dress. No one really stared and I didn't really stand out too much.

I'm thinking of dressing up more ^_^

New Hair cut: Full Bangs

Quick incoherent post:

I'm not sure if I love my new hair cut. I think I made a mistake... of getting full bangs... *sigh*

As usual I got my hair cut at Tony and Jackey's in Makati. Ever since Ms. Hani left I haven't had a fixed stylist.. I've had and JK... the gave me the better version of the normal hair cuts you can get at pinoy parlors except for the way they styled my hair after the hair cut....

This time I got a new stylist, I love Judy~! She explained almost everything to me though I knew what they usually do at the parlor, I appreciated it ^__^ She also gave me tips on how to style my hair for special occasions, she thought me how to blow dry my "full bangs," from what point she'd be cutting my bangs and that she'd cut more hair for my bangs. She kept on saying "hmm, very good!" as well. It was assuring, I really like her.

Here's a really low res picture of my new hair

And here's another low res shot of me chopping it all off...

My bf seemed to like my short hair more ^__^ Which one is better?

By the way, I was joking about chopping it all off! HAHAHAHA!

(I also look healthier than before~)

Christmas Gift Plans~

It's almost Christmas and since I promised my boyfriend that I won't spend too much on gifts, "we" decided to make the gifts instead... I still don't know how many people I'll be giving gifts to, but I think I'll have fun and making a lot will serve as "practice" for me ^_^

Here are some ideas I saw from great people~!

1. "Little Christmas Lamb" ornament

2 . Polymer Clay - Strawberry Necklace - DIY Craft Project Instructions

3. Aaron Vail's Blog!: Mario Mushroom Christmas Tree Ornaments

4. Stacy Sews | Diary of a Fabric Junkie

5. Christmas Cakes

 Other ideas:

1. xmas cupcakes with a poinsettia leaf... (slightly corny but easy to make)
2.Gift boxes...
3. Peppermint candies.. I could probably just make a cane for mass production!
4. Random cup cakes in xmas-y miniature gift boxes?

I need more ideas... As much as possible I'd like to avoid using white because I'm still messy~ hihihi

I'll probably make figurines or just hand made cellphone charms or... magnets?

I'm not sure if my guy friends would appreciate these though... :(

Hobby: 'Jack of All Trades, Master of None"

My hobby seems to be evolving every time... every quarter of a year I think I change a hobby... In less than a year, I had the following hobbies:

- Blogging
- Photography
- Pixel Art
- Video Games
- Beauty stuff
- Polymer clay accessories
- Cooking finger foods
- Gadgets

I've never mastered any of these hobbies.. I've never mastered any of my hobbies... hmmm, wait!  My close friend said that "Video Games" shouldn't be considered as a hobby but a leisure. Makes sense. She also said that most of my hobbies are related to art.

"Art is your hobby" ^__^

However, it still doesn't change the fact that I have not mastered anything... I've only started playing around with Polymer Clay and I'm already transitioning to wanting to make dollhouses and then last week someone said that she used to have a project about needle tatting when she was in elementary and I'm getting interested about it... I keep on changing hobbies =_=

As for the polymer clay hobby, I'm still into it. I'm just so frustrated because I want to be good at it and I ended up looking at blogs of people who are more into creating scale miniatures for dollhouses. I immediately knew that I nowhere near their level of creativity and skill.

I love looking at their blogs at the same time I feel so insecure. Anyway here are the blogs I love to look at:
Snowfern Clover
Les P'titsMobiles
My world on the table
joojoo

Snowfern Clover and My world on the table are the biggest influences of my hobby evolution =_= while Joojoo is a big inspiration and Les P'titsMobiles.. T_T biggest insecurity (I love his work).

Joojoo and Les P'titsMobiles both have a "series" or a theme for their creation (snails and sea creatures).. I want to have something like that...

Food Trip: Noda Sho Japanese Restaurant

I tend to binge eat whenever I'm feeling under the weather. I've been craving for sushi around 3 weeks and my friend told me he would accompany me to the Japanese Grocery in a place called Little Tokyo in Pasong Tamo.. The Japanese Grocery was selling over priced stuff so we decided to explore and we came across this Japanese restaurant called Noda Sho. The place looked so authentic and I fell in love with it as soon as I stepped in.

I wasn't able to take pictures of the food though, I was too eager to eat.. I kinda forgot! hihihi~  I ordered the mixed sushi platter... I've never tasted anything better than the sushi they served!!! My favorite was the uni sushi~ love love love~

Update: Aspirin Mask (week: 3)

So It's roughly 3 weeks since I started using the aspirin mask in an attempt to remove my milia... So far here are the benefits I got (based on my previous post)

Pros:
- dries out acne (I got pimples the first week I tried this but recently, I haven't had break outs)
-reduces redness (not so much)
-reduces size of pimples (slightly I guess)
-shrinks pores (YES!!)
-Easy to make (yes)
-Inexpensive (Yes, my bottle of aspirin is almost out since I shared some with 3 other people)
-Makes skin smooth as a baby's bottom (Seems like it was super smooth the first 3 times you put it on.. after a while it isn't that smooth.)
-exfoliates well (Yes)

I've also been using Garnier's facial wash which probably gave some additional benefits like fairer skin and lesser freckles. My freckles were like maps on my cheeks.. now they're just spots. I'm really happy about it.

As for my milia,  :( unfortunately, they're still on my face. My milia are smaller on the days I apply the mask and on the days I rest my face from any product, they look the same way before I started using the aspirin mask..

10/11/10

Goal of the week: DIY!!!

I think I'm having the worst Monday ever... I wasn't able to sleep because my brother's dog from hell was barking the whole night until around 1:30 am... and it started barking this morning at around 5 am - 6 am... So, I woke up as cranky as ever... As soon as I left my room I was greeted with "You have to commute to work today because the car broke down and your brother is using the other one," which made me even more moodier than when I woke up...

I "slightly" enjoyed the commute to work BUT as soon as I got off the bus.. it effin' rained!!!! As soon as I sat on my work area.. I got a migraine and I feeling a little feverish.

My mood is slightly improving... but not my migraine.. trying to distract myself by surfing the net... my friends are trying to cheer me up as well...

friend: PMS?
me: madaming factors (a lot of factors)
me: and PMS is just 10% sa nakaka bad trip sa akin (and PMS is 10% of what is making me moody)
me: migraine
friend: ok, thought of a bad joke, wont say it for fear of my life

I also found really helpful tutorials for my polymer clay hobby.. exactly what I was looking for~!

DIY cookie cutters:
1st tutorial: Easy Biscuit Cutters (For Playdough, Cold Porcelain Clay or Plasticine)
2nd Tutorial: Dog Biscuit (cookie) Cutter from soda can

I like the 2nd tutorial more~ Recycle!!! I'm excited about this~ I drink one can of coffee every morning so I'll have a LOT of materials to play with! I can probably make spoons and forks from the cans as well~! I'm so excited about it!

DIY cupcake liners:
1st tutorial: White chocolate mocha cupcakes (with homemade cupcake liners!) « One Ordinary Day
2nd tutorial: Judy in Her Natural Habitat: The Kitchen: Cute Cupcake Wrappers!
3rd tutorial: Homemade Cupcake Wrappers - LoveToKnow Cake Decorating

Doesn't look as perfect as the store bought cupcake liners.. but I can say that my creations are 100% hand made! hihi~

... I went to a doctor about my migraine... she said I have to get my an Xray for my spine... I'm scared.. :(

I Fight Back: Go Away Bullies

I used to spend 70% of my time in a breeding ground for bullies.. I wasn't really the main target of the bullying, but it wasn't something that I wanted to watch all day, so I left. I was a target earlier this year (which was partly the reason why I stopped posting during those times) however, I can defend myself against a bunch of immature people. I fight back...

I wasn't going to mention anything about this in my blog but I recently met someone who was also a target by a different group of bullies in the same hostile environment that we were in...

Contrary to common knowledge, there were more girl bullies in this hostile environment that I was in... and even the guy bullies acted like girl bullies..

Verbal abuse...

I won't go into details about how the bullying happened but I'll just quote some excerpts from some sites I've read. (The victim or the bully might relate to one or two statements.. hopefully) . Also I'll be focusing on girl bullies rather than guy bullies..

How do girls bully:
* Verbal assaults. Girls typically use verbal attacks (name-calling, gossip, insults, etc.) to target their victims. Sometimes these assaults take place in front of the victim. other times, they happen behind the victim's back.
* Exclusion. One of the most common ways that girls bully is by excluding the victim. Girls often form groups of similar social status and shun other girls who try to join. They either tell the victim to leave them alone or simply walk (or run) away without saying a word to the victim.
* Online attacks. Cyber bullying (online bullying) is becoming a common form of bullying, especially by girls. Cyber bullies use computers to send mean e-mails to their victims and through instant messaging, blogs, and chat rooms
* playing jokes or tricks designed to embarrass and humiliate
* being friends one week and then turning against a peer the next week with no incident or reason for the alienation

Other tactics:
Walk down the hallway and slam into a girl-the teacher thinks you're distracted!
Knock a girl's book off a desk-the teacher thinks it fell!
Write an anonymous note!
Draw a mean picture!
Roll your eyes!
Send an instant message with a new username!
Steal a boyfriend!
Start a rumor!
Tell the teacher she cheated!
"You step on their shoe. Oops! Sorry!"
"You walk past someone and you try to bump them. You say, 'Excuse you!'

WHY do girls bully:

They've learned the habit of bullying at home. Bullies often (but not always) come from homes where they are bullied or abused by their parents or older siblings. Bullying is a way for them to regain some of the control they have lost at home.
* They're insecure. In many cases, bullying is a cover-up for insecurity.A bully may be sensitive about her weight or the clothes she wears, and bullying other girls allows her to attack them before they attack her.
* They need to feel powerful. Girls who bully need to control and exert power over others. To make themselves seem more powerful, girl bullies often target girls who are passive, easily pushed around, or have very few friends. They often gang up on another girl to demonstrate their control.
* They want to get attention and be popular. Many girls bully to gain attention from their peers. They think that by being mean to others they will become more popular with the "cool" crowd. Unfortunately, this is often true, which makes bullying even more tempting to many girls.
* They have personal issues. Quite often, a girl may bully because she is having troubles at home or at school, which cause her to act out against other girls. Underneath her tough exterior, she is likely to be angry or depressed about other issues in her life
* Preserve or protect their friendships

* Retaliation for perceived slights
* Competition for attention from important people

Actually, even on my last day, I still received something that was made with the intent of humiliating me. I thought that was the last I'd hear about the bullying...

Thanks to this Site for the wonderful tutorial:

Quick Update: Aspirin Mask Vs Milia

So I've used the aspirin mask 3 times since last week. I used it on Friday, Saturday, Tuesday. I'm trying not to use the mask too often.

Good stuff

My face seemed to have lightened a bit and my freckles seem to change from a map of freckles on my face to some splotches. Although I'm not sure if it was the aspirin mask that helped or my new Garnier Light Foaming Wash (which I bought at the same time I bought the ingredients of my aspirin mask).

As for my milia, it looks dry. I think the milia seeds are starting to poke out and some milia turned into pimples, too. Hopefully, they're ready to come out! Exfoliation here I come!

On the other hand, I said in my last post that my Milia looked flatter...(Previous post) Unfortunately, on the days I didn't apply the mask, my milia reverted to how it usually looks but I'm still optimistic about it and I'll give it more time because I love how smooth my face feels.

And oh.. I've been breaking out like hell.. not sure if it's the mask or my new facial wash... I'll post more updates.

Homemade pore strips

I think since the homemade aspirin mask experiment, I've been converted into a DIY beauty product advocate... I LOVED the aspirin mask.. and I've only tried it 2-3 times!

I've watched other videos about DIY pore strips. Some used Elmer's Glue which I will not consider trying and there's Michelle Phan's Homemade Pore strips which I will try! In addition, I think I want to try the Egg whites and paper towel pore strips... but I might just waste the egg :(

Hmmm... On the other hand, some people say that the home made pore strips are not working for them... I need to do more research!

Aspirin Mask and Milia

This month I was actively looking for a cure for my milia (I had a post about this before: link). I had a facial at VMV Hypoallergenics around 3 weeks ago and the girl who was taking care of me said that it would cost around 1,500 PHP ($32) to remove ONE bump... just ONE bump!!! (I'll never go back to that place again.. over priced services.. hmph!).

While I was reading about other people's experiences with milia, I wondered if a diamond peel could help. Some people said it did and one person said an Aspirin mask could help.

So, I was distracted from my search for a cure for my milia and spent the rest of my free time reading about Aspirin masks.

There was so many positive feedback about it so I bought myself a bottle of generic aspirin for 70 php ($ 1.50) for 100 tablets. As soon as I got home, I tested it on my skin. No allergies!!! I tried the aspirin mask on my face the following day and the day after (Friday and Saturday).

Results from other people and some comments from me ( used the mask only 2 times)

Pros:
- dries out acne (I think it did but my pimples heal fast)
-reduces redness (Can't really say at the moment)
-reduces size of pimples (Can't really say)
-shrinks pores (It did! I have smaller pores)
-Easy to make (Yes!)
-Inexpensive (I think the honey I used it more expensive than the aspirin itself)
-Makes skin smooth as a baby's bottom (100% YES, No exaggeration when they said "baby's bottom")
-exfoliates well (Yes!)

Cons:
-messy (If you mix it with honey it's not so messy)
-irritates skin at first (It didn't irritate my skin.. probably depends on your skin type)
-difficult to spread (I liked spreading the mask on my face)
-makes you sneeze (I didn't really sneeze)
-time consuming (Not really... I put one on before my date with my boyfriend)
- can be quite drying (yes to this one, BUT there's moisturizers~!)

Here's the mixtures I tried with my aspirin:
1. Aspirin and water (skin test)
2. Aspirin, water and a few drops of tea tree oil
3. Aspirin, water and honey

The best mixture is the third because it smelled yummy~! All three gave the same effect "Smooth as a baby's bottom" and the mixture with the tea tree oil made my face tingly.

The best benefit I got from this was:

It made my milia look flatter! Although I'm not sure if this is a good thing... right now, any change is a good change!

By the way, my usual skin care routine is just a facial wash from Garnier and the Yellow moisturizer from Garnier which I'm not really religious about.

Trauma: Joe's Appartment

Last week, Thursday evening, around 9 PM, I noticed that there were weird scratchy sounds coming from my windows. Something was crawling on my screen... I thought it was a rat and I didn't mind it because rats can be easily caught using fly paper and a drop of honey as bait... :(

Unfortunately (*sob*), it was not a rat.. it was actually a swarm of cockroaches! HUHUHUHU!!! I'm not really afraid of cockroaches (well, after this I AM!), I'm just disgusted by them. The swarm was coming from a hole in my window.. T_T

My dad forgot to move his compost whatever for his plants at the back of our house.. and that attracted the cockroaches to our back yard then to my grandmother's room and my room. My dad was in Saigon and there was no reliable person at home... >: (

I was so helpless against a swarm of flying ipis (cockroaches). I just cried until my boyfriend came to my rescue...

(Tagged this with the "Evil Step Mother" label because the swarm was probably looking for her).

Migraine: Day 5

Just when I thought I discovered the cause of my migraines, it hit me for 5 days...

I'm so frustrated...

Not only do I have a major migraine, I also have a bad case of LBM, menstrual cramps, and back aches that never go away... I've tried Mefanamic Acid, Ibuprofen, Paracetamols, Acetaminophens... or whatever combination of over the counter pain killers, local or imported... and nothing works.

I have an interview tonight at 6 pm with a potential project and my niece's debut at 7 pm... I'm so helpless.. I wanted to go to my niece's debut.. I've been preparing since last week... I took my lola's vintage looking dress from my closet a few days ago.. I bought fake eyelashes as well.. I wanted to be pretty today...

been crying since last night...

Quick post: National Issues (in Tagalog)

Will post in my language because I'll be venting about racist comments about my people...

Here goes:

Puro galit na lang pinapairal nila, so tama na pag papakumbaba at pag hingi ng tawad. Nag sorry na ang presidente natin, tama na un. At least nga nag sorry pa eh.

English mode again...

Here's what it looks to some people:

Because of one hostage taker, everyone in my country is seen as a criminal by their country.

Shady Globe CSR Responses (Fair Use Policy)

I think they also don't know what to say about the issue... and it makes it even more annoying:

Hi Angelo,

 System Generated only..

To Mr. Jack:

Good day.

We sincerely apologize for the inconveniences this may have caused you.

Please be informed that National Telecommunications Commission is also the other party which implemented this rule to protect and prevent our subscribers from using the service in an abusive way. It is then by using the promos in group messages and for campaign purposes and so on.

Again, our apologies for this.

Sincerely,

Globe Customer Service

"National Telecommunications Commission is also the other party which implemented this rule..." Pointing fingers...

Good day. We apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused you.
The fair use policy states that call and text offers are applicable for person to person transactions only. They are not intended and should not be used for commercial purposes. Call and text offers must not be abused by the subscribers (i.e. subscribers must not make an unreasonable number of calls or make unreasonably prolonged calls).
Globe has decided to tighten the control measures on text spam to protect our valued subscribers from unsolicited SMS broadcasts. Rest assured that we are always looking for ways to serve our subscribers better.
Hope this information helps you with regards to your concern.
"Commercial Purposes..."  If they had proof that my calls were for commercial purposes, it would've been ok
Unsolicited SMS broadcasts... " Again... no proof that my text were unsolicited spam
"subscribers must not make an unreasonable number of calls or make unreasonably prolonged calls...
"valued subscribers..."  Aren't we ALSO considered as valued paying subscribers?

Sorry ,Ma’am/Sir, we have disallowed you from availing our Voice Unli promos due to Fair Use policy. NTC rules that promos are subjected to Globe’s Fair Use Policy. Globe Telecom reserves the right to terminate/suspend promo subscription/s that violates this policy. This policy prevents network abuse, allows us to fully optimize network capacity and maintain quality of its services for subscribers.

Best Regards,

Globe Customer Service
"Reserves the right to terminate/suspend..." Don't we also have the right to use and maximize the use of what we were paying for?
"This policy prevents network abuse, allows us to fully optimize network capacity and maintain quality of its services for subscribers..." This is like telling us to stop using the promo and let other customers who are MORE IMPORTANT to Globe.

They implement the wrong policy.. and they're also saying the wrong things...

Update: Globe replied to my post yesterday...

Here's what I said:

Whoever implemented this policy should know that it wasn't well thought of and even an elementary student can think of it. (Parang nag submit lang kyo ng draft)

How can you say that the company has the "Right" to ban a person without proof that they were spamming or abusing... Obviously, those who are complaining are not the "evil spamming politicians" Globe was trying to protect their "Valued subscribers" from. and apparently, us who have been blocked from any promo are apparently NOT the "Valued customers" they are pertaining to.

Here's the reply:

sir bakabuta,

we only block the numbers that has numerous complaint of spamming from other subscribers.

Here's what I said back:

Then that's is quite odd, since my number and my boyfriend's number were blocked. Even though we only use our globe sim cards to call each other. So how can there be "numerous complaints" from "Other subscribers" about our numbers?

I hope you fully understand that I have been even more agitated by your response. Since, the policy that Globe has implemented can also be abused by people who accuse other numbers of spamming. Globe will, without notice, block anyone who was tagged as a spammer without even verifiying if the said complaints were true or not.

Globe Telecoms Fair use policy: unblocked

(Source)

Got this text recently:

"Free Globe Advisory: Start enjoying text and voice promos again. Please continue to be reminded of our Fair Use Policy for calls and texts. Globe reserves the right to protect its subscribers against spamming and abused deemed in violation of fair use policy. Globe is committed to provide good service quality for our values subscribers. Thank you for being Globe-connected."

Only in the Philippines will you encounter telcos who do not promote "communication."
  1. Smart cuts your call after 5 minutes
  2. PLDT cuts your call after 10 minutes
  3. Globe cuts you off after 20 -30 minutes
  4. Sun cuts you off after 1 hour.

Globe being the worst of the bunch because of their fair use policy.

"The fair use policy states that call and text offers are applicable for person to person transactions only. They are not intended and should not be used for commercial purposes. Call and text offers must not be abused by the subscribers (i.e. subscribers must not make an unreasonable number of calls or make unreasonably prolonged calls)"

What on earth is the purpose of Globe Telecoms if "subscribers must not make an unreasonable number of calls or make unreasonably prolonged calls"

My boyfriend and I call each other like 5-8 times a night, and don't call each other much during the day but we talk until we use up the 30 minutes per call. If you call that spam... then fine.. but I believe it isn't. And if what we're doing is the reason other people were not able to register or call because of the network congestion.. it's not my problem. It's Globe's problem... and they shouldn't push this Fair Use policy on the subscribers.

The Fair use policy was not well thought of. It seemed like they implemented it when it was still a draft and never thought of the following:

  1. How to distinguish commercial calls from personal calls
  2. How to distinguish spam from normal calls
  3. Who are the valued customers?
  4. Who should they protect their valued customers from.
If globe is having problems maintaining the unli promo, or if they are not profiting from it.. why use a lame ass excuse like the  "Fair use" policy? Just stop the promo if it's not profitable. Limit the selling sim cards if it's causing so much network congestion.

I Spy

I saw some person's blog.. and it's full of trash talking... too much hate..

The person made a blog dedicated to the person he hates.  The irony.

Quick Post: Product Catalog..

I need to make one... But I don't know how to make one.. or if I have to make one. There's this massage place I go to and they liked my work and they said they wanted to sell my polymer clay creations.

I wish I can just print out the pages of my other blog.

ARGGHHH... >_<

Quick Post: Resignation countdown

I finally submitted my letter of resignation. I've been looking for cute countdown widgets for my blog.. thankfully my recent addiction (Poupee Girl) has a really cute countdown gadget for blogs

I also looked at the following:

1. http://www.countdownr.com

2. Widget box (Had to register to save the widget)
3. Poupee Girl

Poupee Girl's count down timer was the cutest. HAHA!

27 more days... no more issues.. no more bullies.. no more politics! Free at last.

Globe and NTC's Fair use policy

Globe's stupid anti spam policy... great idea... stupid implementation

"SPAM is the abuse of electronic messaging systems. SPAM messages are not necessarily offensive, and may inform the person to join a cause, join a training, apply for a loan or campaign for a politician."

"Globe has decided to reinforce the control measures on text SPAM to protect our valued subscribers from unsolicited SMS broadcasts. Rest assured that we are always looking for ways to serve our subscribers better."
(source)

Protection from unwanted spam... it's really a good idea but they are not even able to distinguish real calls from spam.

Globe's promo, Super Unli was supposed to give their subscribers UNLIMITED calls all day. My boyfriend and I use the promo to call each other every day... and apparently, calling someone everyday is a violation of the "Fair use policy" and you will not be able to subscribe to any promo they have.

It's so stupid... any call is spam for them

Quick post: The Madrasta and The new addiction

Madrasta Update:

She actually told my sister that she wanted to leave and was only waiting for her "payment" Yipee!! My sister asked , "How much do you need?"

It's really looking good.

Addiction update:

I'm currently addicted to Garnier products... I have the moisturizer, toner, facial scrub, eye roll-on, brightening facial mask and the blue facial scrub.

The lightening Moisturizer is super effective so far.. I haven't been consistent applying it every morning and I still get great results.

I've also been using the facial mask, once or twice a week and It's the reason why my face is clearing up. On the other hand, I'm breaking out. (But I still love it)

Not much of a fan of the toner and the blue facial scrub, got MAJOR break outs because of those..

The facial mask and the eye roll-on, I just bought 2 hours ago. I tried the eye roll-on and it definitely was soothing... ( I cried buckets last night... I hate migraines). So, I went to work with super unmistakable puffy eyes, so obvious that no one can resist looking at them. What better day to test it, right? The puffiness DID subside, at least I think it did. It really felt good on the skin that I want to keep on rolling on my eyes.. but I'm trying not to. I'm scared it might have some bad effects if you put too much on.

Anyway, I've been trying mostly the yellow Garnier products and avoiding the blue ones. I don't like the smell of the blue ones. The blue facial scrub smelled like soil and gave me really big zits all over.

I think I can say that Garnier made me less lazy about my skincare... better results = more addicted... I can't wait.

Step mother at her finest... What a day...

Started this day with a fight.. a fight that made the working in the office less hostile...

Anyway, I never liked my stepmother. I never got a long with her and I actually despise her. No one in the family, my cousins, my brother, sister, grandmother and even my father can stand her. I think only my Aunt can stand her since my aunt is just using her to do stuff but all in all we just pretend she doesn't exist. Even my father's friends and officemates dislike her.

Quote from my cousin's wife: "It's so easy to hate her"

Here's one (of many things) that make people hate her

She bragged that she was the reason my mother had a heart attack. (found out about this from a relative).

The fight started because I got tired of waiting for the driver and she tried to stop me from taking a cab. I was looking for my coin purse in my bag while she was talking. Then she shouted:

"Look at me when I'm talking"

Every time she talks to me I already get irritable.. and she was shouting. So I gave her the finger. Of course, cuss words galore from her and from myself.

I tried to walk away but she followed. More cussing..

I said why would I look at someone I never respected in my life and I never looked at her when she talks to me. It's so stupid that she's not used to it already. After 20+ years...

so stupid.

She got so frustrated and tried to kick me but she missed. I fought back and planted her face on the door. (For some weird reason, I don't feel sorry for this).

I called my dad while she was screaming at me and ask my dad to deal with her. She kept on telling me:

"Tell him to call me!"

I didn't do it... but my dad called her and looked like he didn't listen.

I left while they were talking.

Someone at home sent me a message that she was crying. So stupid, she picks a fight with someone and yet she ends up crying.

I told the people at home to be careful today because she's erratic. And they replied:

"Ang galing nyo nga po eh, Hehehe. kse sya ung galit na galit eh. Samantalang kalmado ka lang po. Iniiral kse nya init ng ulo nya, kase nung kinakausap nia kanina papa mo, nag mamadali si kuya kanina kse mukhang ayaw kausapin ng papa mo si ate. Ayos ginawa mo te. Buti nga sa kanya"

Rough translation:
You're really good, since she was so infuriated while you were just calm. She let her anger get to her. A while ago when she was trying to talk to your dad, your dad was in a hurry to go to work because he seemed like he didn't want to talk to her. You did good. Servers her right."

That text made my day slightly better for the rest of the day until she texted me 9 hours after (translating and editing as I type..):

"You were in grade 3, I was Unicef consultant getting 36k/mo; as BCDA consultant getting 25k reporting 2 to 3 days/wk; with the Gokongweis' I was getting 55k/mo, reporting 2 days a week; with OWWA, 25k 2 days/week; when I conduct trainings 10k to 15k a day; passtime ko lang veritas and welcome which I gave na. And you said 'At least I have work and I only breakeven" Helloo- I have lotto and a field in san jose, don't talk arrogantly; Grocery, supplies, salaries, repairs, etc etc comes from the apartments. Don't bring your problems and attitude here at home. Dennis got Steph's house before you, you're gonna have your own. Anyway, I rest my case, will now erase your number in my cell. Please stop the blaming game, you're old enough. You're Making your own life, your happiness or miseries, period"

All that just to say "I'll delete your number now"

By the way, the 'Apartments' are owned by my grandmother and the maids have been telling me that she buys more stuff for herself than for the household. Also, the gas money my dad gives is 1k per car, the past 3 drivers have been telling me they only get 500 per car... so yeah. If she earns that much why the kick back?

Here was my reply:
"Hirit ka pa ng hirit. De-delete mo na nga lang number ko, mag papa-pansin ka pa at puro insignificant satsat. Erase it for all I care. I never saved yours"

Rough translation:
"You keep on talking. You're just deleting my number and yet you still want my attention and keep on saying insignificant comments. Erase it for all I care. I never saved yours"

Why does she keep on trying to prove herself to people who never liked her...

argh after 9 freakin' hours she's still not over..

stupid stupid stepmother...

 from 7am to 7pm!
 2. No number coding: Taguig, Marikina and Paranaque. So, feel free to roam
 around these cities anytime.
 3. Pasig City has window hours of 9am to 4pm (note the 1 hour additional to the
 normal 10-3pm window).
 4. San Juan has window hours now according to MMDA website.
 5. Pasay City is implementing Number Coding except on the following roads: Ninoy
Aquino Avenue, MIA Road, Domestic Road, Portions of Airport Road, Sales Road,
 Tramo.
 6. EDSA, C5, Pres. Diosdado Macapagal Avenue, Roxas Blvd (Pasay) have window
hours regardless of the city (meaning one can drive via EDSA in Makati any day).
 7. For the rest of Metro Manila (Caloocan, Mandaluyong, Manila, Muntinlupa,
Navotas, parts of Pasay, Pateros, Quezon City, Taguig, and Valenzuela) number

 TOOLS AGAINST MMDA OFFICERS

I just reached my limit last weekend, and decided to take action against the
abusive MMDA enforcers. I basically called up the MMDA head office and inquired
from the Personnel Officer, Antonio Pagulayan, to clarify their policies. Here is
 what I got.

If any of these abuses seem familiar to you, Mr. Antonio Pagulayan (Personnel
Officer) has asked that you call either the MMDA hotline (136) or call the METRO
BASE at 0920 9389861 or 0920 9389875 and ask for an Inspectorate. They will send
inspectors to the place where these MMDA officers are extorting, even while you
are arguing out of your apprehension.

 1. MMDA officers are not allowed to group together in order to apprehend. They
are not even allowed to stand together in groups of 2 or more. The only time they
are allowed to work together is for special operations (probably when they
apprehend groups of buses for smoke belching)

 2. Swerving IS NOT a traffic violation. Moving one lane to the left orright is
not swerving, no matter where on the road you do it. And it is even less of a
violation when you do it with a signal. Swerving is defined as shifting 2 or more
lanes very quickly. So you can argue your way out of this, and call the Metro
 Base for help.

 3. Sadly, using the yellow lane is a traffic violation and will get you a ticket.
However, buses are really not allowed to go out of the yellow lane, so if you
see selective apprehension of private cars only, you may complain.

 4. MMDA has confirmed that your license MAY NOT BE CONFISCATED at a traffic
apprehension. The only time they can do so is if you are part of an accident, or
it is your third violation and you have not settled your fines yet. They are only
allowed to give you a ticket, which you can contest. He recommends actually
receiving the ticket in some instances, so that you can report the officer who
 did it.

 5. Also, you are free to ask any of these officers for their "mission order",
which is written by their supervisor.
If they apprehend you for a violation that is not in their mission orderfor the
day, you can report them and they will receive disciplinary action.

"Winners do what losers refuse to do"

When I was searching for who said the quote "winners do what losers refuse to do" (or at least where I got the quote), so I can give credit. I came across a post about "The 33 differences between Winners and Losers" (I also can't find where the list came from, most posts do not cite any references... I'll edit this as soon as I find the source).

Anyway, I love the list and it's worth sharing.

Winners Losers
1 Winners focus on solutions. Losers focus on problems.
2 Winners take responsibility. Losers blame others.
3 Winners find opportunities in crisis. Losers complain about crisis.
4 Winners enjoy being in the present and learn from the past. Losers live in the past.
5 Winners make commitment and keep them no matter what. Losers make promises that they always break.
6 Winners think about how they can achieve. Losers give excuses.
7 Winners make personal development a priority. Losers neglect personal development.
8 Winners face their fear, accept it and take the leap. Losers dwell in their fear.
9 Winners constantly expand their comfort zone. Losers stay in their comfort zone.
10 Winners take action consistently. Losers refrain from taking action and lack consistency.
11 Winners take failure in their stride and learn from them. Losers fear failure and avoid them at all cost.
12 Winners try different strategies when they are not getting the results they want. Losers do the same thing over and over again expecting different results.
13 Winners set goals. Losers lack goals.
14 Winners plan. Losers hate having a plan.
15 Winners believe there are always things to be learn. Losers consider themselves as an expert even though they know little.
16 Winners are humble. Losers are egoistic.
17 Winners continue to hone their skill every other day without fail. Losers make little effort in honing their skill.
18 Winners work hard. Losers avoid work.
19 Winners give their best for the things that they decide to do. Losers work half heartedly in everything that they do.
20 Winners are persistent and will do whatever it takes (ethical means) to achieve their goal. Losers give up when obstacles pop up.
21 Winners manage their time well and indulge in high value activities that will bring them closer to their goals. Losers lack time management skills and indulge in time wasting activities like playing games and watching re runs for the umpteen time.
22 Winners dream in the day. Losers dream in bed.
23 Winners think about possibilities. Losers focus on obstacles that will stop them from achieving.
24 Winners are certain. Losers doubt.
25 Winners control their own destiny. Losers leave everything to their fate.
26 Winners give more than they take. Losers take more than they give.
27 Winners think whether the crowd is going in the right direction. If not, he will walk the other direction. Losers follow the crowd.
28 Winners think and lead. Losers refuse to think so they follow.
29 Winners listen. Losers fight for every chance to talk.
30 Winners always find a better way to do things. Losers stick to one way of doing things.
31 Winners spend money in seminars and classes to improve themselves. Losers think that spending money on seminars and classes is a waste of money and they prefer to buy toys that gives them instant gratification.
32 Winners help others to win. Losers refuse to help and think only about their own benefit.
33 Winners find like minded people like themselves that can bring them to greater height. Losers find like minded people like themselves that will drag them to failure.

Trying...

Well... I feel so bad neglecting my blog.. It's so annoying that our network guys blocked blogspot... there are so many tutorials for the Agile methodology and Automated testing in blogs. I really wish they get to read this... BOO Corporate Climbers!

So many things had happened in the few months, March, April and May have been mean to me. Had to deal with people with VERY abrasive personalities. At first the insecurity and the jealousy was something that is tolerable but the hypocrisy was too much.

What is Hypocrisy(According to Wikipedia)?
Hypocrisy is the act of persistently professing beliefs, opinions, virtues, feelings, qualities, or standards that are inconsistent with one's actions. Hypocrisy is thus a kind of lie.

The hypocrite thinks that what he or she usually professes does not somehow apply to him or her. It is not simply an inconsistency between what is praised or admired and what is done.

Bull's eye!

"I don't know what problem you have but it's probably difficult to pronounce"

What is a Superiority Complex (Wiki again):
The term "superiority complex", in everyday usage, refers to an overly high opinion of oneself; in psychology, it refers to the unrealistic and exaggerated belief that one is better than others.

Bull's eye again... some people think they're better than other people then get extremely bitter and overly defensive when they're threatened by someone else. Trying to pull down another person or can't and won't accept the accomplishments of another... Getting mad when someone else is recognized for something... Smirking when someone is happy about something.

Bitterness~

(Hypocrisy + Superiority Complex) + (Bitterness x 2) +Abrasiveness =  Medical condition a professional should look at..

Good morning!!!

Books: Jim Henson's Return to Labyrinth

This Saturday I  came across a manga that made me so nostalgic. It was Jim Henson's Return to Labyrinth manga!!! I didn't buy it because only volumes 2 and 3 were available, I should've bought it anyway.. I dreamt about it last night... probably a sign that I shouldn't deny that I really want it....

I grew up watching sesame street in the morning and the muppets show at night and some random Jim Henson movies afterwards... His movies were weird but never scary... The Labyrinth was the only title I remember from his movies...

I really want those books and I'll probably dream about it tonight...

Neglect... and a little hair pampering

I've been neglecting this blog for a while... I was bullied by March and April. However, I've collected a lot of pictures I took on my cam-phone to blog... I'll try to blog about those once I recover.. Anyway this is just a little vanity update..

I don't know if I mentioned that my favorite salon is Tony and Jackey in Makati. I've been getting my hair cut and treatments no where else! I love the service and I love love love how they cut my hair. My first stylist was Martin, he made my hair amazingly lighter. I  have SUPER thick hair, not the type of thick other people would like to have though. It's so thick that when it's too long, my scalp starts to hurt because it's heavy.

The next stylist I had was Ms Hani. She was the cutest one in the salon hahaha! I love how she cut my hair, I secretly wanted hair like Taylor Momsen in Gossip Girl and she was able to cut it like that without me saying anything (this made me love her forever!). She knew how to handle really thick hair (and thin hair see this blog post:  thesecuriousdays.com). Unfortunately, I wasn't able take any pictures of my hair, but borrowed a picture of Ms. Hani~ (also from thesecuriousdays.com)

Anyway, since Ms. Hani wasn't there anymore, J.K. cut my hair. I wasn't able to understand him much but he took care of my hair and that's enough. He curled my hair after the cut hahaha.. I might get a digital perm soon!
