Rest in Peace: Jhed Villanueva

Though I'm not, and could not be considered as a close friend to him, I am still sad that he had to go. He was an officemate of mine and I used to escape to his team's area when I didn't want to work or when it was time to go home. It's really sad that the last conversation I had with him was about him loosing so much weight. I was on a different shift for a year and I was really surprised how thin he was.

Last year, his teammate told me that he was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer. I never asked where... I couldn't. But eventually, I found out that it was intestinal cancer. I also found out that my other friend had stage 1 cancer, on the same day. Luckily, she survived but Jhed got worse. I felt helpless, and I really regret that I wasn't able to reach out when he was still alive.

During his wake, his brother described how he suffered. It was difficult to hear, I wanted to leave but I couldn't. Jhed was so brave. When his cancer progressed to stage 4, he said he was tired and he just wanted to rest. After a few days, I heard the news that he passed away. I didn't want to cry. I felt that I had no right to cry because I didn't lend a hand, but I couldn't help it.

Rest in Peace, Jhed... I'm sorry...

I guess it's time for another amateur review, this time for Nendoroid 121: Saber Super Movable

(Bear with me for now, since this is the first time I'll be posting my pix through flickr... still don't know how..)

Anyway, Saber super movable was my top priority on my wish list and despite my 6 month shopping ban, I couldn't resist buying her.

errr.. based on how I choose my nendoroids, I still don't know what to do with this

I compared Saber's face (left) to Miku's face (Right), should they have different colors?

I was surprised that the sides of her hair were soft and rubbery... I thought she was a fake

I still think she's a fake the inside of her hair aren't as smooth as Miku's hair

Her foot less joint can't bend at all, I'm scared I might break her if I force it to move :(

Side view: Do you notice anything wrong with her hair (look at the braid)?

There's a ghastly rough spot on her braid!!!! Look at the middle braid!!! and the hair doesn't fit seamlessly!!

Obviously, I'm not as happy as I expected to be when I bought Saber, when I tried to put Saber's angry face on Miku, it was too loose and Miku's face on Saber was too tight. T__T I guess I'll be sticking to my 6 month shopping ban for now... /depressed
