A Rant Against Spam

When I started my blog here at Blogger.com, I never really intended to earn money from it although honestly, it would be a plus for me if it did. I don't mind if my blog doesn't attract readers since this is a personal blog and not a niche blog.

Every thing I blog about is personal and random. I don't write any product reviews like the beauty bloggers do because I am not confident in doing reviews. I may have voiced out my opinions on some purchases I had but I wouldn't consider them as reviews, just random thoughts. I could do some reviews, but at the moment, I don't feel like I am in the right position to write reviews. So I'll just leave it to our beauty bloggers or tech bloggers.

Blog Title: Reflections of a Manic Dreamer

Time to say goodbye to my blog title, Sushi and Sashimi were the terms of endearment my ex and I had before we became an item. Seeing my blog title was like a stab-to-my-heart reminder that things have already ended.

SO!!! I decided to adapt my old multiply blog title "Reflections of a Manic Dreamer" Since my blog doesn't really have a niche like beauty bloggers or tech bloggers, the title still fits me.

Slightly dark, and idealistic.

It was fun reading my old posts... although my last few posts were mostly rants and emo stuff... I was a different person then...

I haven't been blogging much since I started at my new office XD I still have no access to the internet.. I probably need to schedule some posts soon XD

1. I was never creative or artistic when I was young. I only started drawing when I was on my 6th grade. Believe it or not, the anime Sailormoon changed my life XD HAHAHAHA!

2. I used to play the piano and the guitar since elementary to high school. I stopped playing when I was in college.

3. I never considered myself a workaholic but some people think I am...

4. Books are my crack~ I'm addicted to books like people are addicted to cigarettes or even drugs. I don't mind losing sleep or skipping meals when I have a book in hand.

5. I don't know how to swim. I'm scared of deep water BUT if you ask me to go surfing or diving, I wouldn't think twice to join you HAHAHAHA

6. I'm allergic to cigarette smoke and chocolates.

7. I can be a total dork when I'm comfortable with the people around me.

I guess it's time for another amateur review, this time for Nendoroid 121: Saber Super Movable

(Bear with me for now, since this is the first time I'll be posting my pix through flickr... still don't know how..)

Anyway, Saber super movable was my top priority on my wish list and despite my 6 month shopping ban, I couldn't resist buying her.

I compared Saber's face (left) to Miku's face (Right), should they have different colors?

I was surprised that the sides of her hair were soft and rubbery... I thought she was a fake

I still think she's a fake the inside of her hair aren't as smooth as Miku's hair

Her foot less joint can't bend at all, I'm scared I might break her if I force it to move :(

Side view: Do you notice anything wrong with her hair (look at the braid)?

Obviously, I'm not as happy as I expected to be when I bought Saber, when I tried to put Saber's angry face on Miku, it was too loose and Miku's face on Saber was too tight. T__T I guess I'll be sticking to my 6 month shopping ban for now... /depressed

Quick Post: Resignation countdown

I finally submitted my letter of resignation. I've been looking for cute countdown widgets for my blog.. thankfully my recent addiction (Poupee Girl) has a really cute countdown gadget for blogs

Blogger Goal: Create my own blogger template

I recently downloaded a few CS4 brushes, I was tempted to create my own wallpaper but I think it would be better if I made my own blogger template rather than borrowing those free templates online.

It might take time though, I'd have to practice on wall papers first.

I'll post updates on my new goal for this month...

Emotes

February hasn't been good to me, I was sick for half of February and my BF was hospitalized on the last week of Feb. So I'm still contemplating if I would post a month end entry like the other bloggers. My post might turn into a rant post...

I'll keep this on a more postive.. yet slightly ranty post.

Recently, I updated my craft blog's layout and added new gadgets. I added a Cbox or a Chat box function. I tried to play with the code and the color scheme and I found that you can change the default emoticons. I was thrilled and I started searching for emoticons that I can use.

Unfortunately, most emoticons are free BUT you can only use them for personal use. Only on a blog and not for commercial sites. I didn't want to be unfair to the artists so I didn't download their art.

I just created my own! wahahaha! I just need to convert them to .gif files. Paint modifies my .bmp files when I save them as .gif files. T_T I only have MsPaint here in the office. Anyway here are my emotes.

 

By the way... they're cupcakes. HAHAHA!!

New Blog

Waaaa!!! I actually forgot to post about my new craft blog. I decided to separate my posts about my creations on a different blog since most posts would be image heavy.
Introducing~ "Mga Kikay ni Ekai"

errr...

*sweats*

A literal translation for my blog title would be "Ekai's Accessories" ehehehe.. I am unable to give a direct translation for the word kikay.. It's quite ambiguous and it is used to refer to so many things like Make up, Accessories, Jewelry, Clothes, being vain, being cute.. hehehe

On a different note (Just wanted to share) , I was listening to the news on the radio on my way to work, and I heard the Ted Failon guy rant about how much it was to operate the senate whatevers... I wasn't entirely attentive about the news but it gave me the impression that they had nothing else to report about... They interviewed a Con. Cua from Quirino... and He said that indeed that it would cost a huge amount of money to operate an institution like that, he noted that there were a lot of things to consider like there were 3000 employees, utility expenses, other miscellaneous expenses. Although, we are paying for all those through our taxes... the senate is a necessary institution.

Ted Failon kept on asking "Is it worth it?" I'm normally apathetic with any political stuff but if he had his way and he was able to stir up something to cause the budget to go down.. there are people who might become unemployed. He could have said "Is the 5 billion peso budget allocated properly" and does not go straight to other people's pockets.

Blog Topic

My blog has no niche... according to http://www.problogger.net, if I wanted to blog, I have to choose a "niche" or a topic I wanted to blog about. I looked back on all my posts and I thought my posts were so random.

I have no niche...

I started this blog with no specific topic in mind. I read and love beauty blogs but I can't blog about beauty products because I do not actually use any beauty products like the beauty bloggers. I also love looking at techie blogs, although if I did a review I'd probably just say "I bought it because I thought it was cute." I like reading arts fartsy blogs of those talented designers, I wish I was as good as they are but that's about it.

My life is so random...

If I had to create one blog per topic, I'd probably come up with several blogs with only one or two posts... I love so many things.

However, If I had to come up with an excuse for the randomness of my blog, I'd probably say "It's my road to personality development!"

That's a valid topic right?

New Layout~!!!!

I'm so indecisive about my blogger design, hahaha I was pestering my boyfriend last night to help me choose a nice template for my blog. It was so confusing because there were so many pretty designs. A friend of mine recommended Blogger Buster for gadgets and templates. That's what started my blogging depression.. huhuh I was so confused on what template to use!! every thing was so pretty!!!! My layout is called Night Sky 2.0 by Ray Creations.

I'm still not satisfied with the layout, I didn't like that my navigation bar was removed. Hihihi I think I downloaded more than 10 templates last night HAHAHA.

On a different note, T_T I want a new planner... my new Planner warped because of the heat.. I'll try to revive it a bit and give it a little more character.

Looking for a blog template

I never thought Blogger would be addicting... I was looking for a not-so-perfect template for my blog but I've decided to create the background and color scheme on my own. Since I used to be creative at one point in my life. hihi.

Since I've gotten rusty at these things... I'm using pre-made color schemes from ColorCombos.com and using the color schemes to create stripes in this website: Stripe Generator
