In memory of Lola Piang

I just found out that my grandmother passed away, It should be a sad thing but all my memories of her are happy memories, I can't help but smile each time I think of her. Though we lived miles away from each other, I always heard about her funny adventures. She was such a pleasant person, always smiling, throwing her cute costume parties with her friends and loved ones.

I decided to have an impromptu dose of positivity dedicated to my family and my dearest lola Piang:

Here are the things that made me happy... yesterday(12/12/12):

Being called a "Fish Girl" by my brother who was surprised by my outfit when I came home late from my office xmas party (lost my keys).

The embarrassingly hilarious puffy eyes I get after hours of crying, can't help but smile each time I look at myself in the mirror. A few more hours, I can be considered as a monolid.

The signs of new life I encountered several hours before finding out about my grandmother.

The green butterfly that didn't mind having a picture taken, despite how close I was and how much I shook the leaf it was resting on just to get a good picture.

Green butterfly: There's a growing/flourishing relationship in your life, your creativity is developing, or you're feeling joyful and calm because of your spirituality.

Black butterfly: fear of losing someone you love, romantic temptations, change in creativity or your spirituality (source)

I saw a green butterfly instead of a black one. "There's a growing/flourishing relationship in your life" Lola, are you trying to say something about this?

The startled dad who tried his best to awkwardly pacify his crying daughter who had black gunk all over her face.

The calm voice of my sister, who picked up despite the time.

Hearing stories of my grandmother's little adventures of love and happiness.

In memory of Lola Piang.
