Fried Mozzarella Cheese Sticks~

Last Friday, my friends and I ate at the National Sports Grill at Greenbelt 3. The whole group loved the Sluggers (fried Mozzarella cheese sticks). I looked for some easy recipes over the net and found a couple of easy recipes to follow.

First was from this http://allrecipes.com:

Ingredients
2 eggs, beaten
1/4 cup water
1 1/2 cups Italian seasoned bread crumbs
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
2/3 cup all-purpose flour
1/3 cup cornstarch 1 quart oil for deep frying
1 (16 ounce) package mozzarella cheese sticks

Directions:
In a small bowl, mix the eggs and water. Mix the bread crumbs and garlic salt in a medium bowl. In a medium bowl, blend the flour and cornstarch. In a large heavy saucepan, heat the oil to 365 degrees F (185 degrees C). One at a time, coat each mozzarella stick in the flour mixture, then the egg mixture, then in the bread crumbs and finally into the oil. Fry until golden brown, about 30 seconds. Remove from heat and drain on paper towels.

Second Recipe was from CDKitchen.com

Same ingredients as the first..

Directions:

Dip the cheese sticks in egg, roll in flour, and dip in egg again. Then dip into bread crumbs.
Place on waxed paper and chill 1 hour. In a large saucepan or dutch oven, heat oil to 375F.
Fry chilled cheese sticks in hot oil; drain on paper towels. Serve with heated pasta/spaghetti sauce on the side.

Dip in egg, Roll in flour, dip in egg, dip in bread crumbs, chill, FRY~! I think I'll try this at home... If I can find the ingredients ^__^

Need to practice cooking this before this coming friday..
